Zhibing and Guanqi are a sweet young Chinese couple currently living in San Jose while Guanqi finishes college.  They reached out to San Francisco Wedding Photographer, Jim Vetter about photographing their engagement and wedding photos after ordering Zhibing’s amazing gown from Vera Wang San Francisco.

They requested that we do the engagement photos in San Francisco so we suggested two of our favorite locations for San Francisco engagement photos – Golden Gate Park and Baker Beach.

We began in Golden Gate Park at the Conservatory of Flowers.  Even though this was not really the high season for blooming flowers, the beautifully maintained flower beds looked fantastic.

There are so many picturesque spots to shoot engagement photos in Golden Gate Park.  The tunnel above exits the Conservatory of Flowers under JFK Drive and makes for a cool location to photograph.

The clean white Conservatory of Flowers building is also a great backdrop.

After shooting in Golden Gate Park, we headed to Baker Beach for the golden hour.

This was a beautiful evening at the beach with crisp, salty air and iconic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands.

For the wedding photos, we went to Lake Tahoe’s Incline Village on the Nevada side of the lake.  The two photos below were shot at the roadside in Incline Village just before a local resident chased us off of this ‘private property.’  🙂

We then headed to the amazing beautiful Sand Harbor State Park.  This is such a unique location on Lake Tahoe with dramatic boulders defining its shores and framing the stunning sunset views over the lake.

We photographed right into sunset on this amazing September evening on Lake Tahoe.
