I had the pleasure of photographing Caroline and Dylan’s engagement session at the stunning Point Reyes Lighthouse. This was my first time shooting at this breathtaking location, and it certainly won’t be my last. The day was beautifully windy, with the Pacific Ocean providing a dramatic backdrop for their love story.
Caroline and Dylan, both passionate fish ecologists, chose this spot to reflect their deep connection to water. From the moment we started walking the path to the lighthouse, I could see their joy and mutual love for the outdoors. Their smiles and embraces were natural and genuine, making it easy to capture their connection in every shot.
As we photographed along the cliffs and near the lighthouse, I used creative lighting techniques to ensure Caroline and Dylan stood out against the stunning scenery. The vibrant blue ocean, rugged cliffs, and the setting sun created a perfect canvas for their love story. We even had the entire lighthouse area to ourselves at the end, making it a truly special experience.
Their love for each other and for water is evident in every image, whether they were sharing an intimate moment on the cliffside or playfully interacting as the sun set. These photos are a testament to their deep bond and shared life journey.
I’m excited for their upcoming wedding at Tahoe Paradise Park. Situated next to Lake Baron, Lake Tahoe, and mountain streams, it begins the next beautiful chapter in their story, surrounded by the water they both cherish. I loved connecting with Caroline and Dylan and showing their connection through my lens, and I can’t wait to capture more memories for them in the future.
