I’ve had the pleasure of photographing multiple weddings at Deer Park Villa in Fairfax, California. It is super charming and feels like an enchanted forest as soon as you enter. 

The venue is located just outside of downtown Fairfax in Marin county – about 30 minutes north of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Fairfax (my town) is the charm of Marin with towering redwoods, cute little shoppes, lots of restaurants, and easy access to every outdoor activity. There is even a quaint hotel a short walk from the venue.

They have done a beautiful job grooming the grounds and with lighting the outdoor areas. The lighting in the trees makes is feel rather magical. 

The bridal cottage is awesome! Any bridal party will love hanging out in this adorable space for getting ready before the wedding. The docor is warm and comfortable.

Inside the bridal cottage is this amazing room with a long wall of vanity mirrors. This makes it easy for everyone to get ready at the same time, offers great light, and also is fantastic for photographs!

The main patio sits beneath giant redwood trees and the sun sets behind them so afternoon weddings are kissed with amazing golden hour light.

There are lovely areas for addiitonal photos all around the venue. The lane below is just behind the venue and makes a great spot for intimate couples shots.

There is a large covered front patio (below) where guests can be seated for dinner or as just a place to hang out.
