My wedding photography workshop in Los Angeles

March 2, 2023

As a wedding photographer, I’m always looking for ways to improve my craft and grow my business. That’s why I was thrilled to attend the Elevate Education Wedding Photography Workshop in Los Angeles this past February.

Here is a reel I produced from the workshop.

The workshop was three days long and covered both the artistic and business aspects of wedding photography. I was one of 12 participants from all over the country, and I had a blast making new friends and geeking out about photography. We covered a LOT of information, and I’m still pouring through my notes to identify enhancements I might make to my own business.

I love attending workshops because they give me the opportunity to learn, play, and make new friends. This workshop was no exception. I’m grateful to Michael, the instructor, and my classmates for making it such a great experience.

One of the highlights of the workshop was a half-day shoot at the stunning Newhall Mansion in Piru, California, just north of Los Angeles. The shoot focused on creative lighting techniques that maximiz the impact of the images produced. The results are beautiful and I’ve shared a few of those images in this post.

The models for the shoot were Jacqueline Del Valle @jacquelinedelvalle_ and Marc Mansour @marc_mansour. They were wonderful to work with and absolutely stunning in front of the camera.

I’m excited to apply what I learned at the workshop to my own business. Certainly, the skills and techniques I picked up will help provide an even better experience for my clients.

Overall, the Workshop was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget. I highly recommend Elevate Photography Education workshops and reources to any wedding photographers looking to improve their craft and grow their business.
